  • Additional 35000 permanent skilled places added. This is from 160,000 places last year to 195,000 this year
  • priority processing of offshore skilled migration and 189 (NZ) visa applications.
  • In addition, 3,000 new Pacific Engagement Visa for Pacific Island countries and Timor-Leste will be introduced from July next year
  • Extra 500 staff will be employed in two years to tackle visa process delays and backlogs
  • No work restrictions on student visa and secondary training visa holders continues to 30 June 2023
  • Ukrainians (687 visa holder) and family members including bridging visa E holders have extended access to Medicare for a 12-month period for Ukrainians, additional funding for 3 year (subclass 786)
  • Increase parent visa quota from 4500 in 2021-22 to 8500 in 2022-23
