Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491) now open to metropolitan Melbourne applicants.

The Victorian government has advised that onshore Candidates that Onshore candidates that are living and/or working in metropolitan Melbourne are now eligible to submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) for a Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa nomination from Victoria.

This now enables skilled migrants living anywhere in Victoria, including those living in metropolitan Melbourne who were previously ineligible to submit an ROI for the SC491 visa.

It is important to note that successful candidates will be required to relocate to work and live in a designated regional area of Victoria once their visa is granted.

Holders of the SC491 visa must live, work and study in a regional area of Victoria for at least three years before they can apply for their permanent residency via the Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) subclass 191 visa.
